The story is captured by the incredible Nick Knight, played by Jazelle Zanaughtti and styled successfully by Katie Shillingford. An incredible team that worked creatively to relate a story through a creative vision to interpret the work Rei Kawakubo from a unique vision. Each detail of construction was captured and a dramatic mise-en-scène was surprisingly intriguing.
18th-Century Punk :
The most influential fashion designer in the world, Rei Kawakubo (the creative director of Comme des Garçons) imagined a collection that reflects the woman of the 18th-Century. The era of revolution and change !
According to the designer and to what mentioned on Another Magazine website: « The fusion of 18th century and punk may seem unlikely, but I suppose there was a punk spirit in every age ». Based on this vision, even the garments are incredibly impressive. Indeed, the designer chose to work with velvets and fine silks. And the most impressive part is the choice of PVC that somehow is one of the aspects of punk style.
